Business Development Executive - Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts
If you’re looking for your first (or next) role in hotel representation, have a passion for presenting, are great at building relationships, and bring energy and enthusiasm to work each day, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We’re looking for someone to join our team on a part-time consultancy basis, working 3 days per week exclusively for our client - Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts. This position can either be office-based at Cara HQ in Greater London, or permanently remote in either the UK or Europe. You must be fluent in both English and Spanish to be considered.
With 25 resorts located across 6 countries, Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts are a leading hospitality group specialising in great value all-inclusive experiences in Colombia, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Ecuador and Peru. From beach escapes to cultural experiences, they offer fun and relaxing stays for couple and families alike.
You’ll have responsibility for the successful implementation of business development activities throughout the UK & Ireland, Germany, Austria & Switzerland (DACH), France and Spain. The goal of this role is to build up travel agent knowledge and awareness of Decameron’s brand, resorts and destinations, which will be achieved through regular participation in travel trade events. In addition, it involves identifying the best possible sales and marketing opportunities with tour operator partners, which will be achieved through proactive and relationship-driven account management.
Expect a busy, varied role where you’re frequently out on-the-road - conducting product training to travel agents and tour operator reservations staff, and attending trade events, workshops and conferences. You’ll have excellent people skills, tons of energy, and an abundance of creativity - all successfully combined so you can build up trade knowledge and loyalty of Decameron’s brand, resorts and destinations.
Tour operator account management also forms part of this role, giving you the chance to build up relationships with new and existing partners, in order to obtain a greater understanding of their strategies and requirements, and then coordinate opportunities with Decameron’s international sales team based in Colombia.
You’ll be comfortable presenting Decameron’s portfolio to both small and larger audiences, enjoy frequent travel, and be able to work away from home independently. You’ll prefer working to a more flexible schedule, with regular evening and occasional weekend work required.
You’ll report into our Joint Managing Director, who will oversee your day-to-day work and be on hand for mentorship, training and support - along with the wider Cara team.
This is a part-time consultancy role, offering a competitive daily rate and with a start date as soon as possible. You MUST be fluent in English and Spanish, have the ability to work legally where you are based, and be able to travel freely between the UK and the EU. Please don’t apply if you are not based in either the UK, Spain, France or Germany. We’re not able to respond to applicants who don’t fulfil these requirements.
If you’d like to apply, please email us your CV and tell us why you think you’re the right person for the role. We look forward to hearing from you.
